- 1.1/4" x 12 UNF 3" HSS Button Die - Goliath
- HSS Circular Split Button Die
- HSS Button Dies (also known as Adjustable Dies) are designed for cutting external threads.
- They are used for threading rods, bolts, and studs, either by hand using a die stock, or by machine using a floating die holder.
- They also can be used to cut smaller or larger, than factory setting, by utilising the adjusting screws in the die holder.
- Dies are manufactured with a thread chamfer to aid starting.
- M2-HSS material provides increased wear resistance and superior thread accuracy.
- Unified National Fine (UNF) thread form was introduced in 1948 as an attempt to standardise thread forms in the USA, Canada and the UK.

- 1" x 11.5 NPT Bottoming HSS Tap - Goliath
- HSS Bright Finish NPT Hand and Machine Bottoming Tap.
- Pipe taps are much shorter than a similar size of regular hand tap, but the design features are the same.
- Goliath HSS taps provide a high hardness to toughness ratio, compressive and tensile strength, good abrasion resistance and resistance to micro-chipping, ensuring a long tool life.
- Tapered Pipe Taps are used for tapered threading by hand or machine.
- National Pipe Tapered (NPT)is a US standard for tapered threads used to join pipes and fittings.
- ANSI/ASME standard B1.20.1 covers threads of 60º form with flat crests and roots.
- The taper on NPT threads allows them to form a seal when torqued as the flanks of the threads compress against each other.
- However a clearance remains between the crests and roots of the threads, resulting in a leakage around this spiral.
- This means that NPT fittings must be made leak free with the aid of thread seal tape or a thread sealant compound.
- For each 12" increase in distance from the end, the diameter increases by 3/4".
- Bottoming Taps have a lead of two threads and are used to ensure minimum thread run-out when tapping to the bottom of a blind hole.
- Bottoming Taps are typically preceded by the use of a Taper or Intermediate Tap.
- Manufactured from HSS this general purpose tap is designed for use in medium tensile.
- Recommended tapping drill: 29mm

- 1/2" x 14 BSPT HSS Tap Set - Goliath
- HSS Bright Finish BSPT Hand and Machine Tap Set.
- British Standard Pipe Taper (RC Series Pipe Taper) is based on the Whitworth thread form - a symmetrical V-thread with an angle of 55º.
- BSPT has been widely adopted internationally for interconnecting and sealing pipe ends by mating an external (male) with an internal (female) thread.
- The thread diameter increases along the length of the thread allowing the coupled pipes to form a seal when torqued as the flanks of the threads compress against each other.
- The taper is "1 to 16", meaning that for each 16 mm increase in the distance from the end, the diameter increases by 1 mm.
- Taper Taps have a lead of eight threads and are used as a starting tap in difficult or high precision holes.
- Intermediate Taps have a lead of four threads and are used in most general purpose applications to cut a thread true to a pre-drilled pilot hole.
